Q: How did you get your name?
A: Pure inspiration I guess. I saw the kitsune race, the name Fyxen popped instantly into my head, and the rest is history *grins* The word is middle/old english for vixen.
Q: How old are you?
A: I've just had my first batch of kits, so I must be about 3 years old.
Q: What level are you?
Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: As a smallish vixen who follows the kitsune path, but prefers a foxlike shape to anything remotely human. I'd do without eq entirely if I reasonably could. I like exploring and trying new stuff, and often wish there were ways of growing here besides mugging everything in sight. *grins*
Q: Where do you live?
A: RL, Utah, USA (That one I do answer). Here, I have a den in the mountains northeast of Loriah Town, with a permanant gateway set up to the town for convenience's sake.
Q: How long have you been logging on to AoD?
A: Oh my. Let's see. A couple of years anyway. I'm not quite sure.
Q: How did you first get in contact with Ages of Despair?
A: A friend recommended I try it. I fell in love with the kitsune on first sight, and moved right in.
Q: Are you a normal mudder, or do you seldom log on?
A: I must be normal. *chortles* Definately addicted, though I do try to back off if I find myself too high on the addicts list. *grins* When I remember to check it.
Q: Have you met any fellow mudders in RL?
A: Several people I know in RL mud, but I probably wouldn't try to meet someone I knew first mudding. I don't really like mixing RL and mudding, and go out of my way to keep the two seperate. When I'm here I think, feel, and act like Fyxen, not whoever I am in RL.
Q: What was your first kill and if you ever died, what
was the first thing that killed you?
A: Oh how humiliating for a fox. Both were a white mouse. First he killed me, then I killed him.
Q: Did you ever get killed by a ("the") horrible creature?
A: Nope. I don't think so.
Q: Who is your favourite and most hated npc respectively?
A: Well I guess that sanctimoneous (however you spell that) twit, Nirem would be my most hated, what with his carrying on about castrating folks and all and pretending that's righteous. I have a thing about foxes of course. *grins* But I'm not real enamoured of the way they are portrayed here. I do wish they'd be given the sense to run away when attacked.
Q: What is the most funniest/strangest thing that ever happened
to you on AoD?
A: Definately falling in love with Dodger. I never, ever expected anything like that. It utterly astounds me every time I think about it.
Q: Do you have any piece of equipment you just can't live without?
A: Nope. Give me a decent eq'less option, and I'd dump it all tomorrow.
Q: Do you have a "special place" where you like to hang out,
A private corner so to speak?
A: Well, my lair and the surrounding territory are up to 43 rooms, if my quick count is right. *chuckles* I suppose that's my special place.
Q: What is the best thing about Ages of Despair?
A: Hmmm. Foxes? *grins* I like the social environment mostly. I think we have a decent wiz staff, and most of the players are pretty good people.
Q: What is the worst thing about Ages of Despair?
A: Well, we need to grow. Diversify areas, things like that. I don't really have a pet peeve about AoD, 'cept maybe that BIG server that keeps showing up on my routing list with way long lag times. I'd like to see a little more flexability in the guild limits. I think some things originally intended to diversify us are actually pushing us into common molds. I'd also like to see a few more RP tools, such as perhaps being able to customize the feedback for common skills/commands. For instance I alway feel silly honoring the bravery of my fallen foe, when I should be gobbling it's hot steaming liver. *grins*
Q: Have you ever engaged in so called "mudsex"?
*Fyxen smirks at you amusingly.
A: Well, I do have kits here, which rather implies sex. However, whether my impregnation was anything more than "Fyxen hauls you off into the bushes for a fox style quicky. You emerge several hours later utterly exhausted..." is between me and Dodger I think.
Q: Favourite quote?
A: Any of a number of more enthusiastic, than skillful tanks: "Let's go kill X (huge monster). With you along it shouldn't take more than a few hours...". I'm flattered, really, but I'm not _that_ good of a healer. *grins*
Q: Is there anything else you would like to mention about
yourself or your life?
A: Have I mentioned I rather like foxes? *grins*
Q: Name at least one question you think is missing from this interview:
A: "If you were made an Administrator for AoD tomorrow, what is the first thing you would undertake to change in order to improve the game for all?"
In my case the answer would be, I would look first at the current system of limits and player balance to see if I could find a way to diversify player options. Specifically, I would weaken the arbitrary "walls" between guilds, in favor of a system where you got better at a thing by doing it, and possibly worse at a thing by doing something incompatable. Thus what you actually used would determine your strengths over the long run.
A close second would be doing something that encouraged RP among the players.
Q: Do I have your permission to make this information public
on the People of AoD website or any other media?
A: Sure. Feel free to correct my typos too. *grins*
