Q: How did you get your name?
A: Rhiannon is an Irish goddess. One I have a bit of an affinity for. :)
Q: How old are you?
A: Heh, old by mud standards. I'm 27.
Q: What level are you?
A: 500
Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: I'm a fairly laid back person. I tend to not let things get under my skin I have no control over. But I can be hard on myself when I think I'm not doing as well as I could be and I have a tendancy to worry about the people close to me. Kind of like your typical big sister complex.
(I know all about that ;) -- Ed)
Q: Where do you live?
A: in Maryland, just south of Baltimore.. US
Q: How long have you been logging on to AoD?
A: it's been about a year now
(Aha! A powerlevelled newbie! ;) -- Ed)
A: hehe, too many late nights banging my head against the wall, I assure you :p
Q: How did you first get in contact with Ages of Despair?
A: I found AoD on the MudConnector. I played on another mud for several years, but eventually left. I tried several other muds before finding this one, but none of them kept my interest long enough. I knew I was here to stay the first time I logged on.
Q: Do you regularly play or wiz on any other MUDs?
A: no, with all the time I spend coding here that would be quite impossible :p
Q: Are you a normal mudder or do you seldom log on?
(Kind of a useless question, no? -- Ed)
A: Heh, unless I'm sleeping I'm usually logged on
A: hehe, quite true
Q: Have you met any fellow mudders in RL?
A: err, yes, yes I have *grins*
Q: Did you ever get killed by a ("the") horrible creature?
A: That was my first mortal death, actually.
A: I guess I couldn't resist know why I was being told not to go there. :)
Q: Who is your favourite and most hated npc respectively?
A: Well, I will attempt to be unbiased and not name the ones I've coded myself. So, I would say my favourite is probably Grim and my most hated would be Kristelle. That npc would drive anyone nuts if they sat in there long enough.
Q: What is the funniest/strangest thing that ever happened to you on AoD?
A: I would have to say that's pretty much half the conversations I've seen/participated in on wiz chan :p
Q: Do you have any piece of equipment you just can't live without?
A: my Candycane ;)
Q: Do you have a "special place" where you like to hang out, a private corner so to speak?
A: hrm. I spend most of my time in my own workroom
Q: How much of your time on AOD do you spend hanging out or chatting compared with exping?
A: well, I spend most of my time trying to figure out how in the world I'm going to code something I've gotten some hairbrained idea for
Q: What is the best thing about Ages of Despair?
A: I know how I want to answer that one, but I'll be good and say it's the people I've met here.
Q: What is the worst thing about Ages of Despair?
A: I think sometimes people get too emotional about their characters and forget this is a game and is supposed to be fun.
Q: Do you have any driving ambitions on AOD? Is there anything that you want to achieve or perhaps something that you have already achieved?
A: I want to learn to be a better coder. I want to be able to create areas that are enjoyable for players, but retain essential balance so the mud can continue to grow.
Q: Is there any advice you would like to give to new players that have just entered our world?
A: Don't be afraid to explore. Get lost, take a few deaths if that's what it takes, remember that this is a game and games are supposed to be fun. Enjoy it.
Q: Were you ever convicted of a crime?
A: hehe. No, not on the mud or otherwise.
Q: How many friends/family play?
A: None of my friends or family play.
Q: Favourite quote?
A: For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul... I think it's a Judy Garland quote
Q: What music are you listening to now, if any?
A: listening to Metallica right now, actually
Q: Is there anything else you would like to mention about yourself or your life?
A: Nah, don't want to give too much away ;)
Q: If you could remove one of the questions from this interview and replace it with another one, which would you remove and what would you replace it with?
A: Were you ever convited of a crime? A more revealing question would've been have you ever committed a crime you didn't get convicted for? :P
Q: And of course I will have to ask you to answer your own question now.
A: We might be here a while...
A: but nothing serious, I assure you ;)
(OOOO, naughty girl! tsk tsk! -- Ed)
A: I'm innocent.. I blame outside sources for my corruption.
Q: Who would you like me to interview next, and why?
A: that pesky drow if you haven't done so already
A: mainly because I want to see how he weasles out of some of these questions
Q: If I do that interview, is there a specific question that you want me to ask?
A: hehe, nothing that won't get me into trouble.. so I will leave the question choices to you
Q: Do I have your permission to make this information public on the People of AoD webiste or any other media?
A: yes
