Tyca Tenko - Foxy Power! - 2004-10-30

Personal details:

Q: How did you get your name?
A: She was a npc from a mud I had played. I was a newbie at that time and she kinda killed me in two rounds :)

Q: How old are you?
A: I've only existed in this realm for such a short time... 2 weeks and a day. I think I've spent far more time in the spiritual plane.

Q: What level are you?
A: 65!

Q: How would you describe yourself?
A: I'm a playful kitsune who is very curious at the many things happening in this world and I like to explore. I try to pay attention and try not to make silly mistakes and die. I think I'm fairly decent in avoiding death. He sure likes some other people though :P.
A: Unfortunately... sometimes, I mess up.

Q: Where do you live?
A: I don't really have a specific place. If you visit my so called "house" you'll basically see that it is an open plain. I don't like enclosed places and to me, the freedom of the outside world is my home.

Q: How long have you been logging on to AoD?
A: Tyca was my first char I ever made in AoD. I think I made her sometime in early 2002. I was powerleveled a little, and I got spoiled so I also created a slew of several characters too. But then I got quickly bored when I didn't get everything on a silver platter and didn't really play that much. Then they got purged ^_^. Now I'm back again.
A: I think it was Firelord or Flamelord who had helped me and I was a cleric!
(Firelord must be the name you are looking for. -- Ed)

Mudding in general:

Q: How did you first get in contact with Ages of Despair?
A: I don't remember too well, it might have been from checking the mud sites list.

Q: Do you regularly play or wiz on any other MUDs?
A: Once in a while, I randomly visit other muds to check them out, just to compare. But I play here alot more. I don't think any of my chars ever logged for more than 24 hours in those muds.

Q: Are you a normal mudder or do you seldom log on?
A: I'd like to think I'm a normal, addicted mudder. Hmm, Ages of Crack.
A: Why are there so many crack references anyways?
(Hrm....good question -- Ed)

Q: Have you met any fellow mudders in RL?
A: I haven't met anyone in RL from AoD.

Game specific:

Q: Did you ever get killed by a ("the") horrible creature?
A: Nope! I have fun killing him though :). It pays to be cautious. Too bad other enemies don't have that warning -.-. That's how I last died. *laughs* I had reallly underestimated the enemy.

Q: Who is your favourite and most hated npc respectively?
A: I can't recall any npcs which truly stand out and come to mind. Although I am irked by the a few of the quest npcs who are too vague. I don't truly like or hate any npc.

Q: What is the funniest/strangest thing that ever happened to you on AoD?
A: Well, it wasn't the weirdest or funniest, but this was the most memorable. It taught me a very important lesson in item storage and to properly stick things in lockers before storing them. Newbies HAVE to remember to enter their locker first before dropping all their junk in the room. Don't drop it outside >_<. I was fortunate enough to buy most of it back when whatever newbie picked them up sold it back to shop.

Q: Do you have any piece of equipment you just can't live without?
A: Nopes!

Q: What do you prefer to do, Solo or Party?
A: I'd like partying waaay more than solo. But partying really wrecks my poor equipment :(.

Q: Do you have a "special place" where you like to hang out, a private corner so to speak?
A: Nah, just like I don't really have a place to live, I'm not truly attached to any specific places here.

Q: How much of your time on AOD do you spend hanging out or chatting compared with exping?
A: I spend an equal amount of time chatting and exping. Sometimes, I chat too much and die. I think that's how I died my 3rd time.

Q: What is the best thing about Ages of Despair?
A: The best thing about AoD are the players, the wizzes and the sheer number of things that you can do here. Questing, spamming, wandering around doing nothing., etc, etc.

Q: What is the worst thing about Ages of Despair?
A: The players too. I believe the players are both the best and worst aspects of AoD. Some people just need to show more maturity and tolerance for things. I also think newbies dying to drowning and hitting rocks is a bad thing. The worst thing that should happen is that their hp gets knocked down to 1 and stays there.

Q: Do you have any driving ambitions on AOD? Is there anything that you want to achieve or perhaps something that you have already achieved?
A: My goal is to get all the quest and exploration points possible! Well, safely that is. Dying while exploring is not one of the top things to do in my list.

Q: Is there any advice you would like to give to new players that have just entered our world?
A: Ask questions! Always ask questions! Just pay attention to the answers that are given and use 'last newbie' to see if that channel has any relevant answers to your question before they're even asked.

Other / Strange:

Q: Were you ever convicted of a crime?
A: I'm as pure as white snow!

Q: Have you ever engaged in so-called mudsex?
A: I believe that is my own business :)

Q: Favourite quote?
A: I really like Dylan Thomas' poem "Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night", and the title gives such meaning to me so I guess that's my quote. To me, it implies that you'll never give up, no matter how difficult the circumstances are. There is always hope as long as you perservere.

Q: What music are you listening to now, if any?
A: "My will" sung by Dream. The song is so uplifting and invigorating. It's not in English though. :)

Q: If you could remove one of the questions from this interview and replace it with another one, which would you remove and what would you replace it with?
A: I think I'd like the npc question removed since I had such a hard time answering it, for the question replacing it, I could answer Afterlife's question *grins mischievously*

Q: And of course I will have to ask you to answer your own question now.
A: None! Fur does a good enough job!

Q: Who would you like me to interview next, and why?
A: I'd like you to interview Jaelle since it seems that she's no longer a horny smurf and should be calmer in the interview room.

Q: If I do that interview, is there a specific question that you want me to ask?
A: Nah, I don't really have any to ask her.

Q: Do I have your permission to make this information public on the People of AoD webiste or any other media?
A: Sure!
